Update: TechTalk 2014 received press coverage by Chronicle.lu and Paperjam.lu

In less than 2 weeks (10 hours of workshops), 5 teams of 16-18 year old students dreamt up and launched 5 websites, promoted them, and presented them to a panel. All in all, the teams generated >4,500 website clicks, nearly 800 Facebook-Likes and raised 1,093 EUR for good causes.

The tutors - short profiles

Bryan S. Ly is a seasoned Marketing and Product Manager in technology and retail with experience in marketing, demand generation, and product development. At Hewlett-Packard (HP), he helped develop HP’s first industrial photo printer, filed 5 patents used in products, and successfully launched multiple generations of photo printers internationally. At Amazon, Bryan has helped to launch a wide range of new Kindle devices and accessories, and more recently has managed marketing programs to drive consumer demand for Kindles.

Bryan firmly believes that learning to code is empowering and important in today's technology-driven world. Everyone should learn to code, whether to create their own products and websites, or as a basis to better understand technology. 

Bryan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from IESE Business School in Barcelona (#1 European Business School 2014 – Economist) and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Carl Hinrichsen is an internationally experienced Product Manager and Account Manager in media & technology and an entrepreneur. He helped RTL go mobile, successfully brought Amazon's Kindle customers accessories, and now focuses on delivering a great advertising experience to Facebook's advertising clients. In Luxembourg he founded a network for home-cooked food delivery and a customised t-shirt service.  He is an eager and constant learner and doer, his recent achievements include a series of self-published children's books and a customised browser game. He also enjoys teaching and sharing his knowledge, most recently by running a workshop on coding and idea-realization for the participants of BGL Futurelab's Summer School.

Carl holds a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE Business School and NYU Stern School of Business.
